In general, you can expect to start peeling on or around day three and peel for about three to four days afterward. Each person’s peeling experience is a little different, and some may peel for more or fewer days, depending on the condition of the skin. If this is your first peel, it’s also normal to peel for a longer period of time.

Chemical peel treatments can be done on the same day as your wrinkle relaxer injections and cheek and lip filler. Lower face dermal fillers like your nasolabial folds must be done 7-10 days after your chemical peel. Microneedling and/or PRP injections can be rotated with a chemical peel every 4 weeks until desired results are achieved.

We have 6 different types of VI Peels. Five formulations are specific to the face and one to the body. Dependent on the formulation right for you, the chemical peel will target tone and texture, enhanced collagen stimulation, skin discoloration, active acne and oily skin, acne and acne scarring, or acne and skin discoloration of the body.

After 5-7 days you may apply make-up to your face.

Do not scratch the treated skin or pick off scabs. Avoid applying creams or lotions until you wash your peel off. Apply the “Post peel protectant” given to you after your procedure 2-4 times a day. Apply moisturizer frequently until you’re done peeling. Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds when your skin is peeling and make sure you wear sunscreen whenever you go outside. Not following these instructions may result in scarring, darkening of the skin, or infection.

The frequency of your treatments depends on the specific skin condition you’re trying to treat. Wait at least 4-6 weeks between treatments to see continuous results.

Side effects tend to be mild with medium depth chemical peels, but some patients may experience swelling, redness, itchiness, dry skin, burning pain, and skin discoloration
